One of the very best things that ever happened to me was happening across one of my old CCS fics being slammed. It hurt a lot at the time but even as I tried to defend it to myself I realized that I was just making excuses. I went into the Harry Potter fandom with better judgement about my writing and the firm idea that I had to abide by characterization supported by the text and not bring my own character hate (or love) into it.
Reading rants--like reading wank--can be a lot of fun if it's not naming names or getting personal. But then, I watched things like 'Seconds From Disaster' because I find train wrecks to be fascinating.
(I love Nino because he is such a weirdo at times and then he will turn around and be incredibly sweet or cute. I think it's a survival instinct. Pants Aiba in concert. Snuggle up to Jun or Sho and make big eyes at them. If this fails, cling to Leader. AND HE LIVES.)
