Trying to determine if 'Ohmiya' is true or not is not something I attempt to do. lol Nino is a very tactile person and so is Ohno, adding to that the fact that Japanese culture sort of frowns on expressing your sexuality with somebody of the opposite sex (outside the bedroom, I mean) AND adding in the fact that when they're doing photoshoots they KNOW the camera is there and they KNOW the fangirls...it's pretty much impossible. The closest I come there is to say that I really feel Nino is bisexual and I feel that Ohnon possibly could be, too.

But the jealousy thing is real because it's never really played up the way that most fanservice is.

Nino is only ever jealous of Jun and that's got a lot to do with the way that they each relate to Ohno. They both want similar things from Ohno--to be physically close to him, to have him pay attention to them, they look up to him (no, really, they do!) and want him to think they're special--and his approval and affection soothes their needs for reassurance (Jun used to be SO hard on himself, unsure of himself and Nino's childhood was...well, I think we can say it was a little lonely).

The main problem is that Jun and Nino are similar enough to EACH OTHER that it triggers Nino's issues a little. They both act in the tsukkomi and the tsundere roles of the group (Nino is more tsukkomi, Jun is more tsundere but they can do both) and they're nearly the same age--it's just a few months between them and they're right at the 'group baby' position.

Ohno does touch them both, indulges them both. He relates to them differently--Jun is 'aniki' and Nino is like a partner in crime--and obviously Nino knows that Ohno isn't going to shut him out (Ohno even said on interview once that you have to slap Nino away every now and again to keep him interested) and he knows that Ohno does relate to them all differently, but that doesn't help Nino who has that gamer mentality--he likes to be GOOD at what he does and he loves to touch the people he loves so I think it would be easy for him to feel possessive. Especially when you consider the fact that what Nino wants from Aiba and from Sho is different from the things Jun wants from them...and Ohno wants to spend time ON HIS OWN. He's a bit of a limited resources, at times, because he needs his space. It could easily feel, to Nino, like he's in a competition for Ohno.

Jun, however, does not have Nino's issues. He either backs down or he mocks Nino (Jun mocks Nino to show his love--screw off, haters who think Jun is malicious about it). It really does seem to me that when Nino DOES go hissy-faced about it (which isn't very often anymore) he and Jun spend time playing poke-each-other-with-a-stick type games and touching each other. I do think it's their way of reconnecting when Nino gets retarded on the Ohno thing.

Long and rambling! I need to go pick up my childrens from school. Darn childrens, making me rush.
