I completely agree with you. Shukudai-kun may not always be engaging or interesting, depending on the guest, but it was what had drawn me into the Arashi fandom as well. Their long-time staff are going, too, so that makes the parting even sadder.
And despite the improv format of the new AnS being a potential goldmine, Shukudai-kun enabled Arashi for crack that really only belongs to midnight television, when no one impressionable should be watching. I don't think Arashi will risk listing as many censorable words while on Golden Time, really.
(God, I'll miss Ogu-san and their no-money specials. It's like they encourage the staff to spend as much as possible!)
