*wails* I used to just like the MUSIC! I didn't know about all the t.v. shows! And now I've done this! We're going to BLAME MEG and NOT TELL Chelle-sama, okay?

Without a doubt, MatsuJun is the most well-off member of Arashi, thinks Jun, flipping idly through an issue of Men's Non-No. He's the top of the heap, he thinks and smiles at his magazine because it's TRUE. Literally.

He knows that, originally, he and Leader and Nino were sitting on the couch together; Nino playing the new Fifa Soccer 08 and Leader sketching and then himself with his magazine and they were all quiet and actually NOT TOUCHING each other. And then he thinks that Sho came over to watch Nino and that pushed him closer to Leader and then Aiba had come and wriggled his way on to the couch (I want to sit with MatsuJun!) and Nino had complained (Oh-chan! I can't move to make the goal!) because that had pushed Leader into him and then…

Well, eventually they had ended up sprawled out together on the couch. Mostly. Nino is sitting on the floor but Leader is curled up on his side and practically draped around Nino's shoulders like a shawl. And Sho is twisted up so that he is half over Leader's legs with his chin on Nino's shoulder. Aiba is on his back (taking up the most room, mostly) but pressed snug all along Leader's back and with Sho between his parted legs. Jun had managed to get the best spot—lying on top of Leader and Aiba and Sho, one leg over Sho's waist and the other lying caught between Aiba and the back of the couch.

"That's a nice jacket, Jun-kun," Aiba says from below him, his words stirring his hair so that it tickles against his ear. "Are you thinking of buying it?"

"Eh," says Jun and he rubs absently against Aiba's cheek to take the tickle away. "It's better for Sho-kun's body type."

"Eeeeh?" Sho looks away from Nino's game, twisting lithely and Jun hands him the magazine. Everybody ignores Nino's idle comments about how Sho and Jun are both built like pipe cleaners (like Nino has room to talk, thinks Jun with satisfaction). "It's not my style," Sho announces and hands it back, going back to watching Nino play pixilated football.

Jun settles in more comfortably and thinks that sometimes he really does love his bandmates a little. There are times when they're not all stupid, unwashed idiots. Times like today, when there are no cameras around so nobody is switched 'on' and they're all quiet and calm and waiting for Manager to come and collect them so that they can go to the right studio to rehearse for the concert tour. It's okay for them to be like this—relaxed together without thinking about anything more pressing than Nino making the next goal. There is a hand warming his hip and Jun cannot really tell who it belongs to aside from 'not mine' and 'probably not Nino'.

He turns the page in his magazine and finds an article about Uniqlo's new look for summer. Under him, Aiba beings to hum. Under his leg, Jun can feel Sho start to hum along and then Leader, underneath his other arm. 'Jidai' is a good song, so he adds his voice. They keep it slow and mellow, though. It's too nice to be lazy right now to get energetic and besides, they do this sometimes. The last bit of A-ra-shi wasn't supposed to be done slowly; originally they were supposed to keep the energy up all the way to the end but while waiting to record (stupid SMAP, hogging the best sound booth) they'd got tired and then Aiba had started to hum and Ohno (he hadn't been Leader yet) started to sing and eventually Sho had asked Manager if they could record it that way and Nino (who hadn't yet realized that Manager might let him get away with being a little shit) had actually said please.

And, okay, he really sort of hates A-ra-shi but he loves that last little bit because it had been the first time he'd felt like they were a group, like they were Arashi, instead of just a bunch of juniors shoved into a band together. No matter what, to Jun that will always be the sound that best represents Arashi to him.

Nino joins in the song, picking up the chorus, and his voice is a little breathy because he's not paying attention to much aside from his game. Jun likes Nino's voice best like that—a little distracted because then he sounds more like Leader and less like the evil bastard he is really. He'd suggest letting Nino play his PS3 on stage except then he thinks of the one time that Nino was up on a stage and actually was distracted and he has to quickly think of something else.

If he lives to be a thousand, Jun will never, ever forget the sound of Ninomiya's scream when Aiba collapsed. Nino had recovered himself fairly quickly, so that by the time the ambulance came (and Sho had called, calmly, realizing that the first aid team in the building could not help Aiba the way he would need) he was back to making his jokes and comforting Aiba by saying 'one practice, a dozen, it doesn't matter because you already know your part of Nice'.

Still, Jun will not forget it. Not Leader's guilt-stricken face or Aiba's lips being purple or the way, later, at the hospital, Sho just shook and shook and shook until Jun—for the first time—had reached out, had put his arms around him and said 'it's okay'. Even though things are okay, he won't forget that. Even though he can hear Aiba singing right now, right this second, he reaches down and feels for him. From the warmth and delicate feeling of the skin, he guesses he's found the inside of Aiba's wrist.

Either Aiba has got to lose weight or else he has to gain some. Jun frowns and tries to see how much give there is to Aiba's skin. There is no way he has to gain that much weight, right?

"Ow! MatsuJun is pinching me!" Aiba interrupts the song.

So Jun pinches him for real.

"Ow! Captain!"

"Pinch him back," says Nino.

"Quit pinching him," says Sho.

"Ow!" says Leader. "Why do I get a pinch?"

"I was aiming for MatsuJun!"

"Pinch Nino," Jun suggests. "It was his idea."

He grins when Leader pinches Nino's ear.

"Ow!" Aiba has been pinched again but Jun can't tell if it was Leader or Nino who did it and so he pinches Leader just in case.

Nino misses the next goal because Leader has knee'd him in the back of the head (it's not that Jun has forgotten that Leader is ticklish in just that spot—more like Jun just thought it'd be funny if Nino got kicked in the head) and then Jun is too busy whacking at Nino with Men's Non-No to pinch anybody.

"Watch it!" Sho says and they all end up on the floor, pinching each other, because Aiba just had to point out that nobody has yet pinched Sho-kun.

Jun manages to regain the top of the pile by the time they stop. He is lying face down on most of his bandmates.

"My nipples hurt," Sho mutters.

"That was me!" Aiba says proudly.

"Dummy," says Nino. "You're gonna get kancho'd when you least expect it for admitting that."

"Eh?" Aiba looks to Jun and Jun nods. "Well, I guess it's all right if it's Sho-kun," he says. "He'll be gentle."

"I'm going to hire Nino to do it," Sho says from the bottom of the pile.

"No!"

"I'll do it for free!" Nino says gleefully.

"No, Sho-ku~~~n!"

Jun tunes out Nino's chortles and Leader's giggles and Aiba's pleading. They're all feeling energetic now and now he has to wonder…"Where is Manager? We've been waiting a long time."

"Manager is going to call and we're going to take a cab," Leader tells him.

Jun would be satisfied with this except for the fact that Leader is absently stroking Nino's ear and making the 'I'm innocent and spacey Ohno Satoshi' face at him. Jun cannot believe that people fall for it.

Neither can Sho, who asks, "Who is he going to call?"

"Me!" Aiba announces proudly. "Captain even suggested it!"

Nino, Jun is horrified to note, shares a very sweet smile with Leader. "Hey," says Jun, in his calmest voice, "can I see your cell phone?"

"Sure!"

He doesn't need to look at Aiba's cell phone. Nino's face is confirmation enough. Especially paired with the way Leader is cracking up. "This is your t.v. remote," he sighs.

"What? Really? Again?!"

The pile heaves from the bottom. "I'm going to call Manager," says Sho.

"I'm going to call a cab," says Jun, rolling off of the top. Stupid bandmates, he thinks, looking at them. Sho is lying on the floor (because Nino won't let him up) and trying to get his cell phone out. Nino's hair is a mess and he can't keep Sho away from the phone because he's hampered by Leader's arm around his shoulders and Leader is covered in pinch-marks and Aiba. Aiba who is trying to see if his remote will work on the studio television. Stupid, unwashed idiots.

Sometimes he loves them just a little too much.
