Arashi drabbles

I'll be back tomorrow with the other entry. Too tired right now. Wrote this in fifteen minutes because it was 'do something or go crazy'. Five actually one-hundred-word drabbles.
All your colors, everywhere
Red
Aiba loves Sho for a lot of reasons: he e-mails him about sales, he's always up for eating together, he takes care of everybody, and he loves Arashi more than he loves News Zero and Yatterman combined. He loves Sho for the way he doesn't mind shrieking like a girl on television, the way he really is proud of his art, and how he is a little bit hurt when the audience believes in his failures more than they believe in him.
But most of all Aiba loves Sho because Sho will give anybody a piggyback ride, no questions asked.
Yellow
Ohno adores Nino. He always has; he and Nino just fit.
"He's restful," Ohno earnestly tells the interviewer.
"Ahhh…" says the lady. "Because you're Ohno-san, right?" she chirps a moment later.
They always say that and it makes Ohno sigh. Nino isn't restful just because Ohno likes him so much. It's because Nino is quietly in love with all of them and takes care of them like an attentive girlfriend.
"He focuses on the person he's sitting with more than he does on his cards or his game," Ohno tries to explain.
The interviewer doesn't believe him. They never do.
Green
Jun is terrified of Aiba.
It's hard enough to be maybe, possibly, just a tiny bit gay in Japan. It's sort of torture to be just a little bit gay in Johnny's. But being sometimes attracted to boys and being in a band with Aiba Masaki? That's completely horrifying.
Jun is afraid that one day he'll look at Aiba—all golden bright and laughing and an incredible idiot and a total sweetheart and a giant pervert and say 'take me home with you'.
Because Aiba will and then Jun will have no choice but to fall in love with him.
Blue
Ohno is Sho's fantasy. He'll say "We can definitely do this! Ah? Don't you feel like it'll just happen for us?" and is the leader Sho can't be. "We played Wii bowling for six hours. We totally forgot to cook any dinner and when we went out everyplace was closed, so we got combini meals," Ohno will laugh and he has the sort of family relationship Sho wishes for.
Ohno collapses against his side, laughing and laughing just because "Sho-kun is so funny!" and he smiles and somehow Sho is exactly perfect for him, which is all Sho's ever wanted.
Purple
Nino loves Jun fiercely and he will kill the first person he catches making Jun cry unhappy tears. Jun has been his since they were tiny kids and Nino lied to him just because he was cute. He fell in love with Jun's stupid smile. He loved Jun through the bad years when Jun's anger and hurt cut them all to the bone. He's loved Jun through grumpy mornings and ugly hair and through all sorts of food nagging on both sides. Jun is his. He won't lose him to anybody.
"Your girlfriend is a bitch."
"Jesus, Kazunari," sighs Jun.

Date: 2009-08-01 01:52 pm (UTC)Red: I love the final line of "Red". There is something about it that implies something a little different from the rest of the tone of the piece, and I'll be damned if I can really put my finger on what. I think it's that the rest of the reasons why Aiba loves Sho are for his eccentricities and quirks but they're more things that Sho exemplifies by saying. Whereas the act of giving a piggyback ride "no questions asked" shows an unspoken understanding and trust. The kind that exists when you know someone will do something for you whether something has got you down or you just feel like being a dork. ♥ The kind of friends that let you have what you need from them without putting conditions on it just make my heart squeeze. But in a good way. :3
Yellow: I love Ohno's mild annoyance with the fact that people just do not seem to understand what he's trying to say about Nino. How it is so obvious and plain to Ohno that Nino's love isn't just for him but for all of them and how he really wishes people would stop for a second and see it that way. It's okay, Ohno, I believe you. *pats*
Green: OUCH, my heart. Perfect and absolutely true. I love how Jun is afraid of getting involved because he knows how hard he'd fall. I love how the entire concept terrifies him, because the sheer force that is Aiba and what the experience of being with that would be like...It would be so intense. I love it.
Blue: I love how Sho admires Ohno for his ability to say something that would otherwise be contrite, but if Leader says it it will have to be true. There's just no other option. Not because Ohno is some great motivational speaker or because he pushes them harder to accomplish things, but simply because when Ohno says "We can do this!" everyone accepts it as fact. I love how Sho loves Ohno's relationship with his family, how it's something he wants for himself. ♥
Purple: I love the childish simplicity of Nino's concept of possession and love. Most of the time jealous!Nino annoys me in fic because he comes off as being an irrational crazy bitch. Here, however, it's not really a matter of going to ridiculous lengths to prevent a relationship. There is acting out and there is the concept of "mine" but it all has a different slant on it. Nino doesn't want to hurt Jun, he just wants Jun not with someone other than Arashi (and specifically himself). Girls are foreign and have no rights, they haven't been around, what claim could she possibly have to Jun? None.
These were a wonderful thing to wake up to. ♥♥♥
