I just really feel like I can't write at all lately. Which is bad because I have
je_holiday to do. ACK. ONE MONTH. So, again, I gave myself five minutes and told myself to just write whatever the hell I could.
WARNING: CHARACTER DEATH.
Shine on
Shine on this life that's burning out
Kageyama is dying. His one and only partner, his little brother, his sad and broken and perfect Kageyama, his. Yaguruma Sou brushes the hair back from Kageyama's face, out of the way of his eyes and his scar. "Partner," he says and he sounds bored and disaffected. "Looks like you found the light we can reach for together."
And Kageyama smiles at him and holds his wrist. "If you still believe in love, I'll be waiting for you." There is something beautiful and sweet in that smile, something light and not dark.
"Don't be a liar," he says, shaking his hand off and pushing with tender roughness at the hair that insists on falling in eyes that are changing, changing, changing. He cups Kageyama's face. "I'll come and get you again."
One last smile and then he snaps Kageyama's neck before the change can take him away.

Date: 2009-11-04 11:09 pm (UTC)The best part is that Kageyama would have wanted it that way. They totally deserve each other.

Date: 2009-11-04 11:34 pm (UTC)Kagami gets Tendou. He really does. It's why he's not surprised by the picture-postcard Christmas transformation that the Tendou household undergoes. He shoots a look at Juka only to find her already leveling a stare at him.
Well, okay, Kagami decides. All right.
Kagami brings his gifts for Juka, Hiyori, and Tendou over and they're all wrapped in newspaper with bows folded out of the funny pages. "I'm a poor college student," he tells Tendou at Tendou's tasking look. The gifts go under the picture-worthy tree with its collection of picture-worthy presents.
So Kagami feels free to bring over red and green construction paper and make garland chains with Juka. "Come and join us," he says to Tendou.
Tendou's chains are perfect and perfectly edged in glitter. Kagami slaps some paste around on his just to make up for it.
"Kagami," says Tendou.
"Ryou and I used to do this every year when were kids," Kagami says and nails Tendou with a stare of his own.
The garland goes on the tree.
Kagami goes for broke and invites his boss and Renge and Kazama and Yuriko and Misaki and Tadokoro and his brother over to have a Christmas beer and some gourmet Christmas cake that Tendou spends two days baking into perfection. Things get a little rowdy and by the time the little party breaks up the Tendou household doesn't look anything like a picture.
"Kagami," says Tendou.
"I know," says Kagami.
And together they share a smile before Kagami goes to get the broom and the rags and the appropriate cleaners.
November third is 'Culture Day'. I was tempted to write 'Tendou weirds Kagami out with sexual kinks from other countries. *goes to hell*

Date: 2009-11-04 11:42 pm (UTC)I think that may be my new favorite thing ever. It really sort of sums up everything about them and I LOVE Kagami bringing all his imperfectness into Tendou's previously perfect life (of course Tendou's garlands are perfect and edged with glitter, of course they are) because... well, yes. That's pretty much what Kagami did.
I am going to come back and reread this at Christmas and think of every ridiculous Christmas cliche I can for the two of them. Especially Kagami vowing to get a picture of Tendou in a Santa's hat by the end of the year or, by god, he'll die trying.
In the meantime, have this. Loveless world.
Date: 2009-11-04 11:18 pm (UTC)Kageyama obediently undoes his belt and slides the tail on; it hanging half over his hip.
"Good," Yaguruma tells him and tries not to notice how prettily Kageyama beams at him. He needs to add another collar to his partner, he decides. One with a bell.
You DO love me! <3
Date: 2009-11-04 11:23 pm (UTC)Thanks, btw. Now I'm imagining Kageyama doing kitty impressions and Yaguruma trying to pretend it doesn't turn him on. (Possibly I have been looking at too much Japanese fanart today, send help plz.)
Re: You DO love me! <3
Date: 2009-11-04 11:40 pm (UTC)That probably didn't help you at all.
Re: You DO love me! <3
Date: 2009-11-04 11:44 pm (UTC)Not since I started imagining the little bell jingling merrily as Kageyama goes after him like a cat getting into the, ah, cream.
(No, I am not sorry for that one.)
Re: You DO love me! <3
Date: 2009-11-04 11:51 pm (UTC)The collar is made of something slick, like cheap leather or even cheaper vinyl. Yaguruma doesn't care he just likes it for the way it shines against Kageyama's skin. The bell is black, too, and shimmers like a dark little lie at the hollow of Kageyama's throat. It's cold against his thumb when he touches it and jingles just a little. "Suck me," he says.
Kageyama sits up eagerly and the bell chimes merrily as his zipper clicks down one tooth at a time in the careful grasp of Kageyama's teeth.
Yaguruma likes the bell as much as he likes Kageyama's mouth. He's not even sorry when the bell grows warm to the touch.
Re: You DO love me! <3
Date: 2009-11-04 11:56 pm (UTC)P.S. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH RIGHT NOW, THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL. It's a shame Kageyama's ears aren't real anymore, they'd have probably twitched fetchingly when they got, ah, cream all over them after Yaguruma was done. ....and then Kageyama would have to clean his ears, too.
Re: In the meantime, have this. Loveless world.
Date: 2009-11-04 11:24 pm (UTC)But it was worth it.

Date: 2009-11-05 12:27 am (UTC)I always run out of those things in a pinch.
Seriously, though, both of these pieces: A++
The comedic one, as seen above, just killed me. Though the completely perfect but fucked up one about? Yes. That last line was masterful. ♥

Date: 2009-11-04 11:57 pm (UTC)I sitll kind of want to cross over Kabuto with Star Trek, deep in my shamefilled heart, but I know it would be bad and would end in Kagami and Bones clinging tearfully to each other :(
