Happy birthday to me!
Dec. 28th, 2009 09:44 pmI have the best flist on the planet. You have made me smile, laugh, and go teary-eyed with your birthday wishes both public and private. I will always cherish them and all of you.
To celebrate being thirty-two (haha, I'm older than Meg! ...wait) I am going to let anybody out there request a drabble off of me. Just name me a fandom a character/person or pairing, and a prompt (be it words, ideas, pictures, or songs). I can't promise to get to them right away but get to them I shall.
Because I love all of you and I am so very, very lucky.
I kind of miss having Brit living with us. I 'lost' custody of her a month back when she agreed to live with her dad again. I think she missed having her own room, to be honest. She had to share with Faith and Allie. Plus Jillian kept attaching herself to Brit every chance she got.
Skyla is doing okay. She told me that Bridget (who did indeed kill herself with pills and booze) had been drinking a lot in the final months. Jeremy is holding things together as well as can be expected. Skyla's grandma moved in with them to help out and her aunts stop in frequently. That does not mean that I did not give Skyla the sex talk when I found out that her boyfriend lives next door. Pretty soon I'm going to be known as 'crazy condom mom' instead of 'second mom' by Faith's friends. No I am NOT handing out condoms, I just said that I would be open to helping her get help if she decided to have sex. Having become a mother at the ripe old age of seventeen and a half (to the very day, good job, Faith) I worry.
Other than that, things continue to be very normal. I'm glad I'm done with Christmas cards, though. I sent one to each household in my family and ended up using five boxes of Christmas cards. Even only doing ten a day ended in hand-cramping. I feel like I should apologize for my messy writing. I think I am going to just buy a bunch of cards on clearance and fill them out during the year whenever I think of somebody.
In other real-life happenintgs: My job is slightly more than full time. Wal-Mart does this nifty thing where they give you a one hour lunch. This means that an eight hour shift actually covers nine hours of your day, plus drive time. Between the job and the house I have little time left for anything. I miss hanging out on LJ.
My goal for the new year is to hang out online a little more and be with the awesome people that Arashi has given to me. That is truly how I think of all of you--a precious gift from my dear Arashi. You make me that happy.

Date: 2009-12-29 05:55 am (UTC)And OMG Walmart. XD Unpaid breaks are a total bitch. How come nobody does paid breaks anymore? Cheapasses. D:
And if you ever find the time, I'd totally go for some Sho/Nino smut/cuddling/whatever. XD Prompt can be something related to Nino's role in Ooku where he's like the top male in a harem. *snerk*

Date: 2009-12-29 12:12 pm (UTC)The really funny part about that is that there is an Albany in my state, which is why I was really confused.
I meant to make you a birthday post. I also meant to have your Christmas gift done today. I'm just not having much luck getting things done in a timely fashion right now. T^T I'm sorry for that!
Sears only gave me half hour lunches and I had a one hour commute on the bus to and from. So my 8 hour days were really 10.5 hours days and my 9.25 hour days were really 11.75 hour days. Even though I will miss having a steady paycheck, I will not lie: I am not going to miss seasonal retail work. Stay strong, bb ♥
So far as drabbles go (because I will never pass on an opportunity to get you writing) how about a little Sakumiya bit. Prompt: Nino thinks Sho talking economics (read: money) is hot.
Interpret as you wish.
