STARFLEET ACADEMY. No, srsly. There are classes. [livejournal.com profile] lazulisong and I are going to sign up and nerd ourselves into oblivion.

[community profile] uss_roselia Join us! It will be AWESOME. Who wants to take XenoBiology with me? And OFFICER TRAINING SCHOOL? Or how about Vulcan History? Maybe 'How to Die in the Wilderness'? They even have a class in Doctor Who.

This is going to be SO MUCH FUN.

PS. I now have a DreamWidth account thanks to my dear Meg. [personal profile] ciircee

This just made my day. I love just how absolutely DEDICATED Trek fans are to their universe! &hearts

Speaking of which: I recently listened to the interviews with the actors of Bashir and Garak here and I was kind of struck by the fact that a.) in the early to mid-nineties, "fandom" was already a totally common word for every Trek fan (I realize that they practically invented it, but I somehow never realized that it was something that was already in "normal" use before the internet became really popular), and b.) their awareness of just how important fans are for the series. (I admit, I laughed when Andrew Robinson mentioned fans "writings stories" about Star Trek...XD)
