I have to leave for work but before I go: Arashi has a new album slated for release in July--CDJapan sent me the email this morning. No LE as far as I can tell.
And! Finally have a picture of my cookies from Flange!
Yes, I just have the one. So far. I am absolute pants at picture taking.

Yay, my cookies! They are so wonderful! The Ohno in the large box is the one broken at the waist--up close you can tell there's something different about his middle. (Jun has always been missing his coat details. Ed and I pretend that he never wants to come out of his sparkly, sparkly trench coat and has sewn it shut.) Replacement Ohno came with his head off. We glued him together and sprayed him and we're still trying to decide who looks better in the box. (Pictures of him later!)
Replacement Nino was eaten by Ed despite the fact that he was intact.
Me: *spraying new cookies happily* Eh? But--? Nino?
Ed: Is delicious.
Me: !!! But Nino!
Ed: *crams more Nino in mouth* I let you have Sho even though his leg was off.
Me: His frosting was cracked! *hunches over cookies protectively* You can't eat them!
Ed: ...they're covered in spray enamel. *more cookie!Nino-based carnage*
Me: Oh. Right. Headless-Ohno, look away. *turns cookie*
You can't really see it in the picture but the background paper in the Dome-set is textured with raised dots that are a shade lighter than the paper. DoubleParka!Sho and Aiba both have glitter on their background paper. The long box and Sho's are both very deep-set while Kenta and Aiba are not very deep at all. Not pictured is my Arashi washcloth which is in a frame to match Kenta and Aiba--only larger and with no background because that's a pretty good sized washcloth.
As you CAN see the spray on enamel that we use (Krylon Crystal Clear spray enamel, which runs about four bucks at Walmart) doesn't change the look of the cookies even the tiniest bit--and we put several coats on each cookie. We haven't tested it's fixative properties because...well, why would we? If I ever get the urge to do so, however, I will surely say something about it.
And yes, the long box is 'AMNOS' on background that is sorted by the Dream Alive caterpillar colors.
I will get Ed to take better pictures when I can!
Seriously, I love my cookies to an insane degree. The kids are already fighting about who gets them when I die. :D :D :D They make me so very happy. My glittering, shiny, cookie!Arashi.

Date: 2011-05-09 11:20 pm (UTC)The spray really looks good on them! I may have to attempt it with spares if I have any next time! And was that scrapbooking paper you used for the backgrounds? FUN!
Also, OHNO BROKE? AGAIN? The next time I make a set I may have to make a few of them because I am starting to get irascible about that ^^; (and if there are breakees, then there will be the amusingness of Ed trying to eat them while you shelter impressionable cookies from the carnage).
You are awesome! And I love the pictures! And the fun you all have with the cookies--it's the most awesome thing, really &hearts And Ed really sounds like a riot! I think I shall be cookie-ing again in June, though not before, since I leave for the annual medievalists' Zoo (in Kalamazoo) tomorrow, and then go from there to Philadelphia for a wedding, then back for the long drive to TX--so it'll be 2-3 weeks before I'm home again ^^;
Speaking of which, let there be packing :P
But first-DOME CONCERT LE!!! Also, Made m-f-ing Ue wo!!! My sumer is made!
>_>
SinceI'd heard the news of the announcement last night, I might maybe have set my alarm for every hour until I woke up and the email was there. Hours after a much more legit wake up time, the LE was still there ^^;
*feels foolish*
BUT WHATEVER. DOME CONCERT&hearts
*goes back to pack and finish grading*

Date: 2011-06-02 03:05 pm (UTC)But I'm glad you like the cookies and think we did a nice job...they are fantastic cookies and I wanted to do right by them.
We ate our first batch. We could have saved some fish or the Dream A Live caterpillar, but we ate them. Those are some tasty, tasty cookies. I fully support you eating them!

Date: 2011-06-06 04:56 am (UTC)Hee, I'm one of those folks at the edges of crowds, haha. Where you see the face and think, "Hmm, do I know that person?" and then the moment passes. :P But seriously, I said that because internet etiquette is a tricky thing, and I was a little uncertain about commenting on a post that isn't more obviously for the masses as when you post fic. Like, is it really more for friends to be seeing, etc etc.
....anyhoo. Mmm, cookies. I'm sorry to hear about the shadowbox squashing. Hopefully all will be good as new! And I totally ate all my little fishies, too.
Hope this finds you and yours well! ^_^
