THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH FANDOM OHMIYA.

The post, the replies. This is part of why I never go to that comm any more.

(The other part is the fic. Oh. My. God.)

God, yes. I saw that too and at first I was just confused because do these people even watch Arashi to think that that is a plausible dynamic? Really?

ICON LOVE.

And also: BRAIN TWIN. When I read the comments all I could think was 'have they WATCHED Nino in anything that was not a drama?' and 'have they read even one interview? EVER?'. It's just. SO not Nino. And Ohno--holy hell, Ohno ate deep fried egg shells. That boy can put up with anything. Nino could surgically attach himself to Ohno and Ohno would put up with it. And then he'd make Nino go fishing and shit because hell NO he is not missing his chance to get out there.

Oh lord, you know what? you made this so much better by reminding me of the Garbage Chips episode.

But really, that particular type of fangirl crazy would stamp the exact same template onto every relationship, regardless of fandom--Sherlock, Kamen Rider, anything. Clearly, they're working out something else, and slapped Ohmiya faces and names on it :/

You know, I am generally endlessly willing to be amused by fandom in all its glorious dysfunctions, but . . . geh. I have no patience for this crap. And I know that when I feel better, I'll have a sense of humor again, but I am so not there. :P

Garbage chips makes everything better! Seriously, they only fed them on tv. When is the last time you saw them drink 11 year old butter?

I also have a feeling that you are right about the crazy. NOT EVEN TENDOU, DAMN IT.

*patpat* I will be waiting for you when you are there again! With open, open arms. ♥

It might have been the beer that was that old. But they had butter at one of those abandoned places.

Oh, Arashi. Look at how uppity you've gotten now that you can go to foreign countries and be fed while not on tv! You don't go to abandoned places and eat old food anymore. HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN YOUR ROOTS?

Or just got nicer managers?

XD Honestly, I love talking about Arashi. Because you know what? Even today they would eat the old food. They would whine and bitch and laugh and try to make somebody else do it but they would do it. And smile and mean it.

I should rewatch both of those episodes. They make me so squeeful&hearts The whining, the whimpering, the giggles and the the evil they play on each other even knowing that the staff has already loaded plenty on them.

I think they got nicer managers and moved to prime time ^^; I'm looking forward to maybe a late show again sometime in the distant future, where there's not quite so much interference by 17 guests ^^;

And they would do it. The would totally drink the miso sour, blend the crazy caviar-foie gras-truffle shake and drink it, all the while cursing their luck at janken and trying to shove the other members higher up in line to experience the horror.

I realize that this is probably the result of intense and repeated adolescent trauma as Juniors, but dammit, it's awesome and lovable and never gets old.

Their old stuff is still pretty golden. I do miss their late-night slot. I miss Ogura and smelly food and racy comments about porn and nipple-showing.

Our boyband, they are a marvelous, wonderful thing--a good group of people who love us very much.

(It is. Johnny scarred them for our entertainment and we know this and yet...and YET. How can we live without Sho's girly, girly shrieking?)
